I opened this account sometimes September 2013 and the bank had verve, visa and Mastercard as the cards available to choose from, I choosed Mastercard and told them by hand written and also not ticking the auto renewal of card on the form
I also opted out for sms alert so did not have a phone number attached to the account and choosed only email alert.
Can you believe around 2014 ending to mid last year. Gtb started debitting me for sms alert, I wrote to them severally as i wasn't in the country at that time but they never stopped, I asked them to furnished me the number they claimed they are sending the sms, they couldn't as it never existed.
What the bank did was to send me a form to fill and request for no sms I rejected that for i never signed for sms in the first place.
This extortion continued until i retured last year and visited them before they stopped and never refunded the money illegally deducted.
Again, they have decided to fault twice my agreement with them prior to the account opening.
No sms alert, no auto renewal of anything on my account without a recourse to me.

On the 18th of July at about 10.16pm I received an email alert saying my account has been debited with one thousand and fifty naira as mastercard card renewal, I could not understand what they meant by that so
Yesterday I tweeted them and they claimed i should have written to them as if they one i wrote years was honoured, what happened to keeping agreement
They claimed it is a package that comes with mastercard, it is not for during the account opening, it is,entirely the perogative of the holder to choose the card she wants.
I never received any email from gtb asking me if i want renewal or any of such thing. I never received any email from the bank telling me our terms has changed only for them to debit my account without my approval.
Who authorised the issuance of that card?, this is wrong. I should be the sole decider of when to get a new card not the bank imposing it on me as if i am a minor. I need a refund of that transaction. They should not decide for me, i should.

I make a transaction with my ATM on d machine I made a complained to first bank at fagba Iju road at Lagos but all they told me is that they will need to send reminder that it will be solve, week after am also at d bank same since then that is how I uses to go and continued going till I traveled to Kaduna I came back the money was not returned till they change the manager there and they brought mr Wasiu. I almost no all there names there because every time am always at the bank till December last year I went to mr Wasiu the manager all he could tell me is that he don't think the money will be returned to me bcuz it has exceeded 180 day but I told him am always there every time even pre than this days he mentioned to me . I was fortunate to see this site pls help me I need my money . thanks

On Monday July 4th, 2016. I needed cash to make purchase of an equipment. Fidelity Bank ATM machine is the only machine in NPA premises, where I work. I tried using the machine severally, it was showing error and rejecting my card. The seller of the equipment was waiting for me cause the next day was public holiday. I saw a debit alert on my phone, after the machine ejected my card, without payment @9:14am. I went straight to Ecobank, made complain immediately. Use Ecobank ATM machine to withdraw, so that I can settle the seller of the equipment I wanted to buy, I withdrew #120,000. I went inside the bank again, the customer service officer told me to return back in 3 to 4 working days. It was public 3 days holidays, due to the missing moon issues . I waited till the following week, I went to the bank again, the lady said the issue has not been resolved that she is waiting for Fidelity Bank to respond, and I should wait until Friday 14th July, 2016 . I sent mail to Ecobank on this issue, they didn't respond, I have called their customers service several times and complain without any resolve. Please I am a low income earner. I need my money to settle and pay up my bills. ECOBANK should act fast and revert my money to my account or should I seek the help of a human rights activist?

GTBANK / NIGERIA / INVALID CODES GENERATED FROM TOKEN

Please kindly look into this matter urgently. I have been trying to complete a transaction via my internet banking but each time i input the code generated from my token, it says invalid code. I don't know why this is happening because I used the same token to carry out transactions last week. I would have tried using token sent to sms but I am not in Nigeria to receive the sms in my mobile number.

I sent a detailed email to GTB about this token issue only to get this DUMB generic response from their staff in the Complaints, Compliance Group saying : " Dear Sir, Thank you for contacting Guaranty Trust Bank plc. Please be informed that you are required to  contact GTConnect, our fully interactive self service contact centre on: 01 4480000, 080 3900 3900, 080 2900 2900 as regards the issue raised. At the voice prompt, press 1 then zero (0) to have your call transferred to any of our customer service representatives. Thank you for choosing Guaranty Trust Bank plc."

Next time, if you have no response to a customer's complaint, its better you don't respond than to send a daft response.

Hello, First, I thank you for your help in the speedy resolution of the complaint I made here sometime ago. Now, my mobile banking issue has been resolved. However, since then, I have been trying to link my mobile banking profile to another account number ie 004xxxx597, but after several calls and mails sent to Union bank, they have not been able to resolve the issue. It is really frustrating that an issue like this will take forever to resolve. I am tired of always calling their contact centre and also sending mails. It is just not helping.
